The kids have been on spring break this week and it has been nice enough to be outside. so they've just been outdoors w/ the neighbors. There's a culvert that goes under our road and then makes this little "creek" just near the house and thats where they've been spending their time.

this weekend we went up to the "Thumb". Get a US map and you'll see where that's at. this is our 3rd yr doing this w/ a friend whom we went to Moody w/. together we pull all our video stuff together, cameras, cables, mixers, cables, and cables and we shoot the video up on the screen for a conference.

we brought the kids this year but they had fun. they rode their scooter around in the halls (it was in a HS) and during the sessions they watched DVDs in a classroom. at night we stayed at a B&B that someone in the church has. we are well-fed all weekend. here's a pic of adam after the conference had ended. he got to pull up all the tape that was holding the cables down. if you know adam at all, you're wondering if we let him bring it home. yes.

on our way back on Sunday, call it what you will, a detour, the backway, circumbendibus, made the not-right-turn, we ended up at Lake Huron. (we were in Cass City). well we made the best of it and had a good time walking out onto one of the breakers. we looked at the remaining ice and the kids could clearly see how the ice underneath is larger than what you see on top.
