My mom came to visit from the 22nd to 26th. Here Laura is reading "Rikki-Tikki-Tavi."
We met the kids for lunch on Friday, rented Cars that night, Saturday got nice at the end of the day so we could go outside a little. Sunday was a beautiful day so we headed to the Wilderness Center after church. We hiked a total of 4 1/2 miles. We saw 2 Garder snakes, some deer and a muskrat.
There's a spring on the far side that we love to go to and was especially needed since we were running out of water. The spring is situated on land that was granted by President Jefferson in 1808. It was later aquired by a family who built there. we went and looked at the rubble of what was there home and shelter back when the Indians were roaming the land.
Hey, I found if I import my image "small" like the one of the spring and not "large" like the one above, then you can click on the image and make it very large to see better.
We had an early birthday party for Adam and he helped make the cupcakes and frost them. 7 years old, can you believe it? (I thought I figured it out but i guess not. this pic of adam was "large" but when i published it i could click on it to make it bigger. whatever.) For his Birthday Meal we had waffles, blueberry sauce and whipped topping in a can, bacon and strawberries. YUM!

Hey JenBob, long time no post. Busybusy you know!?!
Just clicked on. Read newest. Laughed.
At you, at all, at me.
I've been trying my darndest to read and study why I couldn't make the photo's big. It was cracking my skull. Now you point out it's from your end. Be that as it may, great photo's (and I really enjoy being able to FINALLY make them larger again. I like the way Matt is trying look at the Riki Tiki Tavi pictures and Adam is shoving him back? I also was scared by the family wilderness photo. That's the biggest and most intimidating weapon I've ever seen. That weapon strapped on you. Could that possibly be a camera? YIKES. I hope you can control that thing and are careful where you point it.
good to hear from you again Mr. A. i don't think adam is pushing matt away, they were snuggled together and i think he pushed up forward to see and is leaning on him. yes, that's my camera. at first i thought you were talking about a different weapon but i knew i didn't put that pic on. maybe i'll email it to you.
Oh I know Adam ain't pushing Matthew away. It's just funny to me. The two "girls" enjoying themselves. The two "boys" fighting to get their noses in the book/pictures. It looks like two boys going, "let me see! let me see!".
One would have thought Matthew would have gone on to higher level reading. Like The Cat in the Hat.
